Oklahoma Highway Patrol Issues Blue Alert for Suspect in Officer Shooting

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) has activated a Blue Alert for Billy Williams, a man suspected of shooting a police officer in Muskogee County on March 16, 2025. Authorities report that the officer involved is expected to survive the incident.
Williams, described as a 5-foot-11-inch tall white male weighing approximately 380 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen driving a Nissan Altima, contrary to earlier reports indicating he was in a white GMC Yukon.
Law enforcement has deemed Williams armed and extremely dangerous. Patrol officials urge anyone who spots Williams not to approach him but to call 911 immediately. “The safety of our community is our top priority,” an OHP representative stated. “We appreciate the public’s vigilance in helping us locate this suspect.”
The incident has raised concerns in the Muskogee community, with local residents expressing their shock and fear. Witnesses at the scene indicated that the officer was providing assistance to a separate matter when he was shot.
