A couple from Iroquois Falls, Ontario, has recently come into a significant financial windfall. Jennifer Stuart-Flynn and Kyle Murray won the $70 million jackpot in the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) Lotto Max draw on August 20, 2024. This remarkable win occurred shortly after the couple welcomed their newborn child, adding to their recent joys.

The couple’s hometown, Iroquois Falls, has a population of just under 5,000 people. It was during Kyle Murray’s first time buying a lottery ticket that the couple secured this life-changing win. Jennifer Stuart-Flynn expressed her disbelief and excitement, stating that it was a surreal moment for her family. “Having such an unexpected and immense financial breakthrough at this moment is beyond anything I could have imagined,” she commented.

Alongside the celebration, Jennifer Stuart-Flynn has plans to use part of the winnings to purchase a house for her sister. Meanwhile, Kyle Murray aspires to invest in a property where he can establish a small farm that their children will cherish and want to frequent.

“The recent years have been challenging, but this win gives us the opportunity to secure a better future for our children,” said Murray, articulating a vision for his family’s well-being and prosperity.

The victory marks the sixth consecutive lottery jackpot won in Ontario this year. The OLG also announced that the Lotto Max prize is set to increase to $80 million, making it the highest lottery prize ever in Canada. The upcoming draw will also feature an additional 18 Maxmillions prizes, each valued at $1 million.
