Passenger Clash With Frontier Airlines Agents Goes Viral

Raleigh, NC – A viral video has emerged showing a confrontation between a Frontier Airlines gate agent and an irate passenger who expressed frustration over a late check-in fee.
The incident unfolded last Friday as the thirty-nine-year-old father attempted to fly from Raleigh to Boston after a business trip. He arrived at the airport with approximately 50 minutes before departure but encountered issues at the self-service kiosk, missing the airline’s 60-minute check-in requirement.
When he approached the Frontier customer service desk, he was shocked to learn of a $25 fee for late check-in. “They told me it was my fault for not checking the website,” he recounted. The passenger felt the agents were unprofessional, prompting him to record the interaction.
The back-and-forth escalated until he reluctantly agreed to pay the fee. As he reached for his credit card, he muttered, “I’m never flying this sh—y airline again.” His comment triggered a strong reaction from the agent, who then refused to check him in and called for police assistance.
Footage of the confrontation captured the moment two other agents joined in, laughing and deriding the passenger’s attempts to resolve the situation. The video has gained significant traction on social media, drawing both criticism of Frontier’s staff and support for the passenger.
The unnamed father revealed he ultimately purchased a $500 ticket with JetBlue to return home. He expressed disbelief at the airline’s lack of professionalism and noted that officers who arrived at the scene were supportive of his frustrations.
“The police were very empathetic and agreed that these situations with Frontier are not uncommon,” he said. In response to the incident, a Frontier spokesperson confirmed that the involved agents are no longer associated with the company and that they are directly addressing the situation with the customer.
