Pete Davidson Unveils Dramatic Transformation After Removing Most of His Tattoos
Pete Davidson, the American actor and comedian, has made a significant transformation by removing most of his iconic tattoos. Known for having over 100 tattoos, Davidson has been undergoing the painful process of laser removal since 2020. This decision was largely driven by the need to conceal his tattoos for film roles, a process he described as time-consuming and cumbersome.
Davidson recently appeared at an event in Inglewood, California, showcasing his new look without most of his tattoos. The actor had previously shared the challenges of tattoo removal during an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, highlighting the extensive time and effort required to cover his tattoos for film roles. He mentioned that it takes about three hours to cover all his tattoos before filming, which is a significant inconvenience.
The tattoo removal process itself has been described by Davidson as painful and somewhat embarrassing. He has to wear large goggles that obstruct his vision, and the doctor has to announce each tattoo to be removed, making the experience uncomfortable. Despite the challenges, Davidson has now nearly completed the removal of his tattoos, which included a variety of designs such as cartoon characters, phrases, and matching tattoos with former partners.
Davidson’s transformation is striking, with his arms, which were once almost entirely covered in ink, now largely free of tattoos. This change is part of his effort to secure more acting opportunities, as he believes having fewer tattoos will make it easier for him to take on a wider range of roles without the need for extensive makeup and concealment.
