Phoenix Weather: Cooler Temperatures on the Horizon After Record Heat
After a prolonged period of hot weather, Phoenix, Arizona is set to experience a significant cool down starting this week. According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, the city has been enduring highs in the range of 99 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, but this trend is expected to change.
For Monday, October 28, the forecast indicates partly sunny skies in the morning becoming sunny, with highs ranging from 99 to 104 degrees. However, the temperatures are anticipated to drop noticeably as the week progresses. By Tuesday, highs are expected to be in the range of 91 to 96 degrees, marking a substantial decrease from the previous days.
The cooler weather is attributed to a change in wind patterns and a slight increase in cloud cover. For instance, Wednesday and Thursday are forecasted to be sunny with highs between 90 to 96 degrees, while the nights will see lows in the mid-60s to low 70s.
By Friday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers, and the highs are expected to be in the range of 81 to 87 degrees. This cooler and potentially wetter weather is a welcome relief after the prolonged heat wave that has gripped the region.
Residents of Phoenix can look forward to clearer and cooler nights as well, with temperatures dropping to the mid-50s to low 60s by the weekend. This cool down is expected to last, providing a break from the hot conditions that have been prevalent in the area).
