Pima County Voters Head to the Polls: Key Information and Live Election Results
As of November 5, 2024, voters in Pima County, Arizona, are casting their ballots in various local and state elections. The voting process includes both in-person and mail-in ballot options, with several key details to ensure all votes are counted accurately.
For in-person voting, all 126 Pima County Vote Centers are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Unlike previous years, any registered voter in Pima County can cast their ballot at any of these Vote Centers. The Pima County Recorder’s Office provides an interactive map and real-time updates on wait times at voting centers to help voters plan their day and avoid long lines.
Voters must bring valid identification to cast a ballot in person. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid Arizona driver’s license or state-issued ID card, or two forms of other documentation such as a utility bill or bank statement dated within 90 days.
This year’s ballot contains two pages, with races or initiatives on both sides of each page. Voters are advised to complete both pages to ensure they’ve voted on all issues and candidates. For those who have already mailed in their ballots, they can check the Pima County Recorder’s website to see if it has been processed and take corrective action if necessary.
Live election results for Pima County are expected to start updating around 8 p.m. on November 5. These results will include races for Pima County sheriff, board of supervisors, county attorney, and community college board, among others. The Associated Press will provide live updates and declare winners only when it is determined there is no scenario that would allow the trailing candidates to close the gap.
Arizona Luminaria reporters are providing live updates from polling centers around Tucson and Pima County, capturing voter experiences and insights throughout the day.
