Plane Crash Coffee County Tennessee

Tullahoma, Tennessee — A plane carrying between 16 and 20 people crashed in Coffee County on Sunday afternoon, approximately 60 miles south of Nashville, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Initial reports indicate that some passengers have been airlifted to nearby hospitals while others are being evaluated on the scene. The Kentucky-based aircraft reportedly operated as a skydiving plane, said a law enforcement official.

The crash occurred around 12:15 PM at Tullahoma Regional Airport. Lyle Russell, a spokesperson for the City of Tullahoma, confirmed that local authorities have secured the area and that officials from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are heading to the site to conduct an investigation.

“No fatalities have been reported,” Russell stated. “There are some minor injuries among the passengers.” The Tennessee Highway Patrol emphasized the scene remains active and advised the public to steer clear of the area to facilitate emergency response efforts.

Troopers arrived on-site around 1:19 PM to assist with rescue operations. As emergency personnel continue to respond, additional updates about the situation are expected to come from local authorities.
