Arvind Kejriwal Z Plus Security

The Z Plus security cover provided to former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will remain unchanged, according to a decision communicated by the Delhi Police to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Kejriwal, who has been a significant political figure in India, had reportedly faced multiple threats in the past, necessitating the continuation of his high-level security detail.

A senior official from the Delhi Police stated, “The threat to Arvind Kejriwal’s life continues to persist. He has received numerous threats, including a notable incident in May where posters threatening his life were displayed in metro stations.” In one such previous case, Kejriwal received a threat on the emergency number 100, which led to swift police action and the arrest of the perpetrator.

The Aam Aadmi Party had previously brought attention to these threats, holding a press conference to present the evidence of the posters as a serious security concern. The police’s consistent updates about potential dangers to Kejriwal affirm the need to maintain his security coverage at the Z Plus level.

Meanwhile, current Chief Minister Atishi has not yet been granted additional security by the central government. She currently has one commando, several policemen, and an escort vehicle as part of her security provisions. A senior police officer mentioned, “The Ministry of Home Affairs has not yet enhanced her security detail, but a request has been submitted for re-evaluation.”
