Police Investigate Desecrated Crypt in Plains Twp. Mausoleum
PLAINS, Pa. — Authorities are investigating a disturbing crime at Good Shepherd Memorial Mausoleum. Someone unlawfully entered the mausoleum and removed the remains of two individuals from their crypts between Nov. 1 and Nov. 6, according to Plains Township police.
The incident occurred on Westminster Road, and police are conducting a thorough investigation. So far, they have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of the desecration.
Neighbors expressed shock at the crime, emphasizing the importance of respect for the deceased. One local resident said, “It’s heartbreaking to hear that someone could do something so horrific.”
