Police Investigate Shooting Incident in Doncaster
A shooting incident in Dunscroft, Doncaster prompted a major police response on Wednesday, as confirmed by South Yorkshire Police. The incident, which resulted in damage to a house and a vehicle, occurred on Ingram Crescent at approximately 19:00 BST. Armed officers, supported by police aircraft, were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Despite an extensive search of the area, no firearms were recovered, according to a statement from the police. Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries. A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson indicated that a strong police presence would remain in the area as investigations proceed.
Detective Inspector Claire Moss characterized the shooting as a “reckless incident” committed by individuals who fled immediately after. “This has rightly caused some concern and worry in the local community. Residents were just going about their usual business when they heard this awful incident occur,” Moss explained. She encouraged residents with concerns or inquiries to approach the officers patrolling the area.
