GRAND BLANC, Mich. (WJRT) – A heavy police presence enveloped Grand Blanc High School on Wednesday morning following a reported threat called into Genesee County 911. The school was placed on lockdown as law enforcement agencies swiftly responded to ensure the safety of students and staff.

According to a statement from Grand Blanc Community Schools, law enforcement officers from various agencies arrived at the scene to investigate the nature of the threat. As authorities worked, students remained secured in their classrooms until the situation was assessed.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple police units surrounding the school, as officers checked hallways and secured both East Campus and West Campus buildings. The Grand Blanc City Police Department confirmed that thorough searches of the facilities were underway.

“We will keep you updated as we learn more,” the police department stated in a message shared with parents. The school district communicated via email about the ongoing law enforcement investigation and emphasized that safety measures were in place.
