Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $378 Million Ahead of Monday’s Drawing

ATLANTA, Georgia — The Powerball jackpot has soared to an estimated $378 million for the upcoming drawing on Monday, March 16, after no one matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing. The cash option for those lucky enough to win is $176.4 million.
In Wednesday’s drawing, two players from Colorado and West Virginia won $1 million each by matching five white balls, while an individual in Oregon secured the jackpot on January 18. As excitement builds for the next drawing, here are the winning numbers from Saturday, March 15: 12, 28, 33, 36, 54, with Powerball 5 and Power Play 3X.
While nobody took home the Powerball jackpot, Texas had a winner who matched five numbers along with the Power Play, totaling $2 million. Massachusetts also produced a $1 million Match 5 winner. The official Powerball website lists the detailed results of previous winners.
The next drawing is set for Monday at 11 p.m. ET, just after ticket sales close. Tickets, priced at $2 each, are available at convenience stores, gas stations, and grocery outlets across participating states. Additionally, some locations allow online purchases.
Players need to select six numbers on their ticket: five white balls numbered from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball from 1 to 26. For an added $1, participants may opt for a Power Play feature that increases winnings on non-jackpot prizes by multipliers of up to 10X.
The Quick Pick option is available for those who prefer a randomly generated selection. To win the grand jackpot, players must successfully match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball. Drawings occur thrice weekly — on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. Should no jackpot winner be determined, the prize continues to increase.
In total, Powerball is offered in 45 states along with the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players also have the opportunity to order tickets online through authorized platforms in several states, including Arizona, Massachusetts, and New York.
The Powerball lottery can be an exciting avenue for individuals hoping to strike it rich, but it’s essential to gamble responsibly. Statistics show the odds of winning the jackpot stand at approximately 292.2 million-to-1, while the chance of matching all five white balls is about 11.7 million-to-1.
