Powerball jackpot climbs to $163 million after no grand winner

INGLEWOOD, California – No tickets matched all six numbers in Wednesday evening’s Powerball drawing, meaning the jackpot for Saturday has increased to an estimated $163 million.
The numbers drawn were 9, 29, 31, 34, 43, with the Powerball number being 2. Although there was no jackpot winner, three tickets sold matched five numbers but missed the Powerball. These winning tickets were sold in Kansas, New Hampshire, and Texas, each worth $1 million.
The winning Texas ticket, along with the other two, means there are now three million-dollar winners following the latest drawing on May 21. Players are encouraged to check their tickets, especially those who purchased them in Texas, Kansas, or New Hampshire.
The Power Play for this drawing was 2x, meaning winners who purchased the Power Play option will see their winnings doubled. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday, May 24.
As interest heightens, lottery officials remind participants to play responsibly and ensure they check their numbers after each drawing. The excitement surrounding large jackpots often leads to increased ticket sales.
