Powerball Jackpot Rises to $82 Million Ahead of Mother’s Day

Indianapolis, IN — The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $82 million after no one matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing. Players now have a chance to win big just ahead of Mother's Day.
For Saturday, May 10, the winning numbers were 5, 20, 28, 39, 42, with the Powerball being 13. The Power Play multiplier was 2X. The cash option for the jackpot is set at $37.3 million.
Additionally, players are reminded that the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. A single Powerball ticket costs $2. For an additional $1, players can add the Power Play option to multiply other winnings.
In the previous drawing, a ticket sold in West Virginia matched five numbers, earning the owner $1 million. This week’s Powerball drawing will take place on Monday, May 12, where the jackpot is expected to grow to an estimated $93 million.
Drawings occur three times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at approximately 10:59 p.m. EDT. Tickets can be purchased until 10 p.m. on the day of the drawing in New York stores, with varying deadlines in neighboring states.
With the excitement around Mother’s Day, players are eager to see if they can become the next jackpot winner. For complete prize details and information about claiming your prize, visit your state’s lottery website.
