Primark Receives Approval For Canopy Installation At Teesside Park As Opening Nears

Primark’s progression in setting up their store at Teesside Park has reached a milestone as Stockton Borough Council greenlights their latest planning application.

The renowned retail giant, Primark, secured approval on Monday from Stockton Borough Council for the installation of a canopy above the existing side door at their Unit 11 store in Teesside Park.

The planning application acceptance comes as Primark gears up for its anticipated opening this summer at Teesside Park, a popular retail destination in the region.

The updates from Stockton Borough Council revealed that the installation of the canopy must be completed by Primark within three years from the date when the permission was granted.

The Council expressed satisfaction with the details submitted by Primark, subject to certain planning conditions, and commended the retailer for their proactive approach towards the application process.

Teesside Park, the location of Primark’s future store, is set to see a significant transformation with the addition of new stores including the likes of Nike Unite.

Prior to Primark’s latest planning application, the former Mothercare unit underwent extensive renovations to accommodate the retail giant’s two-storey extension and mezzanine floor.

Furthermore, Teesside Park is eagerly anticipating the opening of Nike Unite, which is scheduled to commence operations this month in the unit previously occupied by New Look.

Catherine Furlong, the center director at Teesside Park, lauded the forthcoming presence of Nike Unite, highlighting the job opportunities it would create for the local community.
