Los Angeles, California — Prince Harry and his wife Meghan attended Game 4 of the World Series on October 28, 2025, sporting Dodgers baseball caps. This appearance quickly turned heads, as Harry humorously apologized for wearing the cap during the game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

In an interview with CTV News, Harry joked about the cap, saying, “I was under duress. There wasn’t much choice. I was invited to the Dodgers dugout by the owner. I was doing what I thought was the polite thing to do.” The Blue Jays managed to tie the series against the Dodgers but ultimately lost the championship in Game 7.

Harry added some levity to the situation, noting, “When you’re missing a lot of hair on top, and you’re sitting under floodlights, you’ll take any hat that’s available.” He was later spotted wearing a Blue Jays cap as well.

During a speech at the True Patriot Love‘s National Tribute Dinner on Thursday, he referred to the incident as “Hat-Gate,” which had sparked discussions on Reddit and some criticism from Canadian media. “Game 5, Game 6, Game 7, I was Blue Jays throughout,” he declared, further emphasizing his connection to both teams.

As the son of Canada’s head of state, Harry maintains strong ties to the country. He visited Toronto to meet with veterans ahead of Remembrance Day, which is observed on November 11. During his speech there, he addressed the “blue-hatted elephant in the room” while emphasizing his affection for the city.

Meghan, who lived in Toronto for seven years while filming the series “Suits,” shares a connection to Canada, as do Harry’s ties through his work with the Invictus Games, which were held in Toronto in 2017. The couple briefly lived on Vancouver Island in 2020 before settling in Montecito, California.
