Queens of the Stone Age have officially canceled all remaining tour dates for 2024, citing health concerns for founding frontman Josh Homme. The band announced this decision through their social media channels, stating that Homme must prioritize his health during this time.

This announcement follows the band’s previous cancellation of an eight-stop European festival run in July, which required Homme to return to the United States for emergency surgery. In their recent statement, the band expressed their regret and highlighted the necessity for Homme to receive essential medical care throughout the remainder of the year.

The canceled U.S. performances include several scheduled shows between September and November. Headline dates in Boston, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Madison have been postponed until 2025, with details regarding rescheduled dates to be provided in the future. Additionally, festival appearances in Memphis, Bridgeport, and Mexico City have also been called off.

Josh Homme has been open about his health struggles in the past, having undergone surgery for cancer after a diagnosis in 2022. Although the specifics of his recent surgery have not been disclosed, it is clear that his recovery will require additional time.

Queens of the Stone Age were on tour in support of their eighth studio album, ‘In Times New Roman…’, released in July. This marked the band’s first album release in six years, following extensive tours across North America, Australia, and Asia earlier this year.

The band has expressed gratitude to their fans for their understanding and support during this challenging time.
