Rajasthan Public Service Commission Invites Applications for Agriculture Positions

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced multiple vacancies in its Agriculture Department for the year 2024. As per the announcement made on October 17, 2024, the commission is accepting online applications from October 21 to November 19, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for various posts as detailed in the notification issued by the commission.

The recruitment drive offers opportunities for 241 positions across different roles within the agriculture sector. The breakdown of available positions includes 115 posts for Assistant Agriculture Officer (NSA), 10 for Assistant Agriculture Officer (SA), 18 for Statistical Officer, and several Research Officer roles in fields such as Agronomy, Agriculture Botany, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Agriculture Chemistry, and Horticulture, among others.

Amit, an official associated with the RPSC, confirmed that online applications would be available from October 21, 2024. He also highlighted the critical dates, noting that the deadline for submissions is November 19, 2024. The proper procedure for application is through the official RPSC website.

In a related development, RPSC is simultaneously conducting recruitment for RAS and Subordinate Services, with the application period for that examination running from September 19 to October 18, 2024. This has garnered significant interest as the state of Rajasthan grapples with high unemployment rates. Secretary Ramanivas stated that so far, more than 425,000 applications have been received for the RAS examination, with expectations for this figure to increase substantially in the final days before the deadline.

According to historical data, the number of applications for the prestigious RAS exam has been steadily increasing over the years, underlining the competitive nature of government job positions in the state. The preliminary examination for these roles is scheduled to be held on February 2, 2025.
