Randall Park Among Celebrities Running the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon

Randall Park, known for his roles in TV shows like ‘Fresh Off the Boat‘ and films such as ‘Always Be My Maybe,’ is one of the several celebrities participating in the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. This marks Park’s first attempt at running a marathon, despite his long history of running shorter distances.

Park’s decision to run the marathon is motivated by personal and charitable reasons. He recently joined the board of KultureCity, a nonprofit organization that works to create sensory-friendly environments, a cause close to his heart due to his daughter Ruby, who is on the autism spectrum. Additionally, Park turned 50 this year and wanted to mark this milestone with a significant challenge. The marathon also serves as a tribute to his father, who passed away this year.

Park’s preparation for the marathon has been rigorous, given his background of running shorter distances. He has been training to adapt to the longer 26.2-mile run, a significant step up from his usual routine of running a few miles at a time.

Park is not alone in this endeavor; other notable celebrities such as Jennifer Connelly, Claire Holt, and Nev Schulman are also participating in the marathon. Schulman, in particular, is running his eighth New York City Marathon and will be guiding a visually impaired runner through Achilles International.
