Rapid City Golden Corral Offers Free Meals to Veterans This Veterans Day
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – For the 25th year, the Rapid City Golden Corral will offer free meals to veterans this Veterans Day. This long-standing tradition is the only one of its kind at a Golden Corral in South Dakota, aiming to honor those who have served the country.
The event, taking place on Tuesday, November 11, from 4 to 9 p.m., is more than just a complimentary meal. It fosters community unity and recognizes the sacrifices made by local war heroes. H. G. Krosschell, a member of Rapid City’s Disabled American Veterans, expressed pride in participating in the event. “Basically, they say thanks for your service,” Krosschell said. “If you’re a service person, it kind of makes you proud that people recognize your service and thank you for it.”
The Golden Corral’s free meal event is an opportunity for local veterans to gather, share stories, and feel the appreciation from the community. Many veterans find solace in knowing their service is acknowledged and celebrated in such a meaningful way.
Local veterans are encouraged to visit the Rapid City Golden Corral for a warm meal and a heartfelt thank you this Veterans Day.
