Rebecca Gayheart Addresses Divorce and Co-Parenting with Eric Dane

LOS ANGELES, April 9, 2025 — Rebecca Gayheart is clearing the air about her relationship with Eric Dane, one month after she requested to dismiss their divorce. The actress and former model, known for her role in ‘Beverly Hills, 90210,’ spoke exclusively to E! News at a screening of the miniseries ‘The Carters: Hurts To Love You.’
In her interview, Gayheart, 53, emphasized their strong bond as friends and co-parents. “We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great coparents,” she said, reflecting on their journey together. Gayheart shares two daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, with Dane.
Gayheart filed for divorce from Dane in February 2018 after 14 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. However, she noted that the end of a relationship does not equate to failure. “I think it’s important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It’s just a season. It wasn’t a failure. It was a huge success. We were married for, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful kids,” she explained.
Despite recent speculation about a romantic rekindling, Gayheart did not clarify whether she and Dane have resumed their relationship. The pair were spotted on family outings, which led to rumors, especially after Dane was seen dining with Priya Jain last November.
In March, Jain shared a picture of herself and Dane, alongside images of matching tattoos, arousing further speculation about Dane’s relationship status. As of now, both Dane and Jain have remained silent on the matter.
During the interview, Gayheart also expressed aspirations for her daughters, who may follow in their parents’ entertainment careers. “My 15-year-old definitely wants to model and act,” she shared. “They both talk about it, but they’re too young yet.”
Gayheart attended the screening to support her longtime friend Soleil Moon Frye, the documentary’s director. The film, which captures the lives of a family of singers, is set for release on Paramount+ on April 15.
As Gayheart and Dane navigate their complex but amicable relationship, they continue to prioritize their daughters’ well-being. “We’re doing our best. It isn’t easy,” Gayheart remarked back in 2018, showcasing their commitment to co-parenting.
