Renowned Classical Music Producer Adam Abeshouse Passes Away at 63
Adam Abeshouse, a highly acclaimed American recording engineer, music producer, and classical violinist, passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 63. Abeshouse was diagnosed with metastatic bile duct cancer in the spring of 2024, and his condition had become terminal by August of the same year.
Born on June 5, 1961, on Long Island, Abeshouse was trained at the Manhattan School of Music. He had a distinguished career spanning over 30 years, during which he produced hundreds of classical music recordings. His work earned him three Grammy Awards and two Latin Grammy nominations. Abeshouse also founded the Classical Recording Foundation in 2002, further solidifying his impact on the classical music world.
In a poignant gesture, several musicians whose recordings he had produced gathered at his home studio in Pelham, New York, on October 2, 2024, to perform a farewell concert for him. This heartfelt tribute reflected the deep respect and admiration he commanded within the music community.
