Renowned social media influencer and religious speaker, Abdullateef Aliyu Maitaki, widely known as Mufti Yaks, has tragically passed away at a young age, leaving his followers and community in mourning.

With over 9 years of experience in public journalism, Mufti Yaks was celebrated for his motivational religious speeches that were modeled after the renowned Zimbabwean Islamic speaker, Mufti Menk.

The news of Mufti Yaks’ sudden demise was shared by Professor Isa Ali Pantami, the former minister of digital communication in Nigeria, who expressed profound grief over the loss.

The cause of Mufti Yaks’ death remains undisclosed, but he has been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs, as confirmed by Pantami on his verified social media account.

Notably, Mufti Yaks was the son of Justice Aliyu Mayaki, a distinguished former chief judge of a state in northcentral Nigeria, adding to the solemnity of his passing.

Messages of condolences and prayers poured in from various personalities, including Bashir Ahmad, the digital communications assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari, as the community remembers Mufti Yaks’ impactful contributions.

Sheikh Menk, Mufti Yaks’ mentor and inspiration, also expressed his sorrow over the young preacher’s untimely death, highlighting his dedication to spreading positivity and goodness.
