Rescue Mission: 32 Influencers Saved as Lamborghini Yacht Sinks Near Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH, Florida — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued 32 people from a sinking Lamborghini yacht near Monument Island on Saturday, May 5, 2025. The luxury vessel, measuring 20 meters (63 feet), began taking on water around 5 p.m.
Reports indicate that those on board were influencers who had overloaded the yacht, which is designed for five people. Witnesses reported the boat tilting dangerously as the passengers rushed to one side.
Rachel Miller, a witness, described the scene. “We saw, like, a bunch of cop boats, like police boats, and there was another yacht that was flipped over, completely vertical in the water,” she said.
Good Samaritan boat operators in the area assisted the Coast Guard in the rescue efforts. No injuries were reported, and commercial salvage operations were left to recover the vessel afterward.
Former Miss America competitor Regan Hartley was among those rescued, sharing videos of the event on social media. In one clip, she was seen holding a bottle of expensive tequila, captioning it, “Not embarrassing at all…” as others took selfies while waiting for rescue.
As the situation unfolded, influencers appeared to maintain a party atmosphere, laughing and creating videos even as their yacht began to sink. Videos of the incident have since gone viral.
The yacht, reportedly valued at $4 million, is part of a limited-edition fleet designed by the iconic Italian automaker. The identity of the yacht’s owner has not yet been released.
“Women and children first, women and children,” a man joked as the women were guided onto rescue boats, which contrasted sharply with the seriousness of the situation.
Authorities are still investigating the incident and have not provided details on why the vessel took on water. The Coast Guard has since towed the yacht away from the shipping channel.
