Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa to Open WWE Raw Premiere on Netflix
Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa are reportedly set to clash in a Tribal Combat Match to kick off the first-ever episode of WWE Raw on Netflix tonight. According to Dr. Chris Featherstone of WrestleTalk, the high-stakes match will open the show, leaving Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk as the likely main event. The premiere, taking place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, is being treated as a premium live event by WWE.
The Tribal Combat Match is a significant development in the ongoing feud between Reigns and Sikoa, which has intensified since Reigns’ return to WWE at SummerSlam. Reigns, who took a hiatus after losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, has been embroiled in a bitter rivalry with Sikoa and The New Bloodline faction. The match could also serve as a platform for a surprise appearance by The Rock, who announced his participation in the Raw on Netflix premiere yesterday.
In addition to the Reigns-Sikoa showdown, the event will feature several marquee matches, including Rhea Ripley defending her WWE Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan and Drew McIntyre facing Jey Uso. Logan Paul and John Cena are also scheduled to make appearances, adding star power to the historic broadcast.
The move to Netflix marks a new era for WWE Raw, which has been a staple of weekly wrestling programming for over three decades. The streaming giant’s partnership with WWE is expected to bring the show to a global audience, with tonight’s premiere serving as a pivotal moment in the company’s history.
