San Antonio Resident Wins $2 Million Powerball Prize

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A lucky resident of San Antonio has won $2 million in the Powerball drawing held on March 15. The winning ticket was purchased at the QuikTrip located at 848 Hot Wells Boulevard.
The ticket successfully matched all five white ball numbers drawn: 12, 28, 33, 36, and 54. However, it did not match the red Powerball number, which was 5. If the ticket holder had matched all six numbers, the prize would have amounted to a staggering $378 million.
The Texas Lottery reports that the fortunate winner has up to 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize. The process involves presenting the winning ticket and ensuring it meets the validation requirements as stipulated by the Texas Lottery Commission.
Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT. The next jackpot, scheduled for Monday, March 17, is estimated to reach $398 million.
The recent win underscores the ongoing appeal of the Powerball lottery, with ticket sales continuing to thrive across Texas. Despite not winning the grand prize, the $2 million payout still represents a significant windfall for the ticket holder.
