Sarah Sherman Hbo Comedy Special

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Sarah Sherman, known for her quirky roles on “Saturday Night Live,” will debut her comedy special titled “Sarah Squirm: Live + In the Flesh” on HBO and HBO Max this December. The special promises an unconventional hour filled with Sherman’s signature offbeat humor.

In the show, Sherman will unleash a series of jokes described by HBO as harboring “bodily fluids, open-wound confessionals, and jokes that will leave skid marks on your soul.” She humorously cautions viewers, “Word to the wise – don’t watch while eating.”

This season marks Sherman’s fifth on “SNL,” where she has made a name for herself with her eccentric sketches and memorable appearances on “Weekend Update.” Recently, she also starred in Adam Sandler‘s film “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” and is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix movie “Roommates,” produced by Sandler.

Earlier this month, Sherman opened for Sandler at Madison Square Garden, drawing attention for her live show “Helltrap Nightmare.” Nina Rosenstein, EVP of HBO Programming for Late Night and Specials, praised the special, saying, “Sarah’s first special is so distinctly her own. She’s hysterically funny, wildly creative, and has a kind of fearless audacity that makes this special truly unforgettable.”

“Sarah Squirm: Live + In the Flesh” is executive produced by Sherman alongside “SNL” showrunner Lorne Michaels, Hilary Marx, and Taylor Segal for Broadway Video, Ronald Bronstein, Eli Bush, and Josh Safdie for Central, and Matthew Vaughan for Rotten Science. The special is directed by Cody Critcheloe, known for his music project Ssion.
