Las Vegas Weather Forecast Thunderstorms

Las Vegas, Nevada – First Alert Weather Days are set to return this weekend as scattered showers and thunderstorms are predicted for the area. A low-pressure system currently off the California coast will move inland, bringing moisture and storm chances to Southern Nevada through Sunday.

The weather system is expected to begin affecting the region on Friday, with isolated showers and thunderstorms forecasted for the early afternoon. As the weekend approaches, the likelihood of rain will increase, particularly on Saturday and Sunday. The Northeast corner of Clark County is likely to see rain by mid-morning Friday, while the Las Vegas Valley will have increased chances of rain during the early to mid-afternoon hours.

“This system is a slow mover,” said a meteorologist from the Las Vegas National Weather Service. “We expect the rain to linger, providing on-and-off showers and thunderstorms through both Saturday and Sunday.”

In addition to the rain, high temperatures are forecasted to drop into the mid-to-low 80s over the weekend, a significant decrease from the mid-90s experienced earlier in the week. Morning temperatures will also feel cooler, settling in the 60s.

The weather pattern will extend into early next week, with slight chances for showers and thunderstorms persisting through Tuesday. The National Weather Service will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
