WASHINGTON – A sunny yet humid Monday is expected for the Washington, D.C. region, with temperatures reaching around 84 degrees. Residents may see isolated thunderstorms developing by the afternoon.

According to FOX 5‘s Taylor Grenda, any storms that form could become severe, presenting risks of damaging wind gusts, heavy rain, and even isolated tornadoes, particularly in areas west of the city.

Weather forecasts suggest that a cold front arriving on Tuesday will increase the chances of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, with highs expected to be near 83 degrees. After Tuesday, conditions are likely to dry out.

Grenda noted that temperatures will rise later in the week, with highs moving from the 80s on Wednesday into the 90s by Friday. However, another round of rain and possible thunderstorms is slated to return over the weekend.

The information has been obtained from the FOX 5 Weather Team and the National Weather Service, which continuously monitors the evolving weather patterns in the area.
