Buffalo, New York — Scott Kelly was taken by surprise when his resume went viral on TikTok after a concert incident on Sunday. Kelly, 36, was unaware that a fellow concertgoer had recorded his resume while he was in the audience at a Jonas Brothers concert and posted it online.

Jen Wilson, who attended the concert with her roommate, spotted a man scrolling through a PDF titled ‘Scott Kelly Resume Sept 2025.’ Intrigued, she recorded a video and uploaded it to TikTok that evening. The video quickly gained traction, amassing over 45 million views and comments from fans, including the Jonas Brothers themselves and other big brands.

Wilson said, “There was always the hope in the back of my mind that the Jonas Brothers would see it, but I did not actually expect them to.” The video spread rapidly, sparking curiosity about Scott Kelly’s identity and the resume’s unusual appearance at the concert.

Kelly was busy pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration degree from home on the night of the concert. He received a text from a friend that he had become an internet sensation. Having never used TikTok before, he logged in to find several companies congratulating him. Old Navy commented on his professional attire, while Clorox complimented him on his cleanliness.

Brandon Bieron, the man who was viewing the resume at the concert, was attending with his family. He is the president of Reimer Home Services and was interested in Kelly’s qualifications for a potential job opening. Bieron said he scanned the resume for about a minute before getting lost in the concert. When he learned the resume had gone viral, he felt a sense of responsibility to contact Kelly.

“Talent waits for nobody,” Bieron stated. After talking to Kelly, Bieron mentioned wanting to open lines of communication with the “country’s new most coveted employee.”

Kelly, who maintains a job at a telecommunications company, expressed his surprise at the unexpected attention. “It’s better than the opposite, for sure,” he said, enjoying the humorous comments about his work ethic and professionalism.

As the viral sensation continued, people across social media celebrated the newfound popularity of the resume. Kelly noted that he was flooded with job opportunities and found the supportive reactions amusing.

While both men plan to meet for coffee, Kelly doesn’t anticipate an immediate job offer. Instead, he’s looking forward to seeing where this unexpected fame leads, including potential growth for his national security podcast, At the Water’s Edge.
