Sean McVay Injured Coaching Rams’ Victory Over Titans

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay suffered a torn plantar fascia while coaching his team to a 33-19 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. McVay disclosed his injury during a press conference on Monday.
“Foot’s good,” he said. “I did tear my plantar fascia, so yeah. That’s a good thing because it allows you to heal a little faster. I was being dramatic, limping around toward the end of the game, but the MRI confirmed I did that.”
The 39-year-old coach, known for his dynamic presence on the sidelines, shared that he felt a pop in his heel while running to call a timeout. He did not mention if he would need to wear a boot for support as he recovers from the injury.
The Rams are off to a strong start this season, boasting a 2-0 record, and are preparing for a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. McVay expressed confidence despite the setback. “The good news is I’m not playing,” he said. “I’m just on the sidelines watching, so if I have a little cool limp to add some swag, then you’ll know why.”
McVay is the youngest coach in NFL history to win a Super Bowl and has amassed a career record of 90-57, including regular season and playoff games. The Rams’ recent success includes six consecutive road wins.
As the team gears up for their matchup with the Eagles, McVay reflected on the previous season’s loss in the divisional round. He aims for improvement as both teams enter the game undefeated. “We want to get some revenge,” he stated.
