Danielle Lopez Missing New Jersey Camping Trip

Penn State Forest, New Jersey – Nearly a year has passed since Danielle Lopez was reported missing following a weekend camping trip. The New Jersey resident, who would have turned 38 this year, vanished under mysterious circumstances after her camping excursion at the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest Campground.

Lopez was last seen around 6 p.m. on April 13, 2024, walking near her blue two-door Hyundai Accent on a secluded dirt road. The trip was meant to mark a night of stargazing for Lopez and her boyfriend, coinciding with a solar eclipse.

On Friday evening prior to her disappearance, Lopez communicated with her mother, expressing her enjoyment. The following morning, surveillance footage captured her at a nearby Wawa in Vincentown, where she purchased coffee. That afternoon, she was driving along Lost Lane Road in Penn State Forest.

Witnesses later reported seeing Lopez walking away from her vehicle after she asked a couple for assistance when her car became stuck in the mud. The couple declined to help. A good Samaritan later towed her car out, but Lopez never returned to it.

Danielle Lopez is described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and light-colored shoes. Lopez typically wears glasses.

Authorities are offering a limited-time $5,000 reward for information related to her disappearance. Anyone who may have seen Lopez or has any information is urged to contact the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit at (609) 882-2000 ext. 2554 or the Community United Effort Center’s 24-hour hotline at (910) 232-1687.

Additionally, the case has gained national attention through shows like “Crime Stories with Nancy Grace,” which airs daily on SiriusXM channel 111. This platform aims to keep public awareness alive regarding the ongoing search for Lopez.
