Ann Evans Missing Cruise Ship St. Maarten

Philipsburg, Sint Maarten – Authorities are searching for a 55-year-old American woman who went missing during a cruise stop in the Caribbean. Ann Evans, a U.S. citizen, failed to return to the Holland America Line’s Rotterdam ship on Nov. 20, prompting a coordinated effort between local law enforcement agencies.

According to the Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM), Evans left the cruise ship around 10:00 a.m. to participate in an organized island tour. She exited the tour bus in Marigot, French Saint Martin, but did not return to the bus or the cruise ship.

“Efforts to locate Ms. Evans are ongoing,” KPSM officials stated. “Law enforcement on both the Dutch and French sides of the island have been alerted.” Authorities are asking the public for assistance and anyone with information about her whereabouts is encouraged to contact them. The KPSM can be reached at +1 (721) 542-2222, while the French Gendarmerie can be contacted at +590 590-29-25-25.

In a statement, Holland America confirmed that they had notified local authorities immediately after learning of Evans’ absence. “We are working closely with them to confirm the guest’s whereabouts,” the cruise line said.

The Rotterdam is currently on a 12-day round-trip Caribbean sailing that departed from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Nov. 16. The ship made stops in the Bahamas, St. Lucia, Tobago, and Barbados before arriving in Sint Maarten.

Authorities have not provided details on whether Evans was traveling alone or with a group. They urged Evans, if she sees the notice, to reach out to her family or the police to confirm her safety.

As search efforts continue, officials emphasize the importance of public assistance in locating the missing passenger.
