Search Underway for Missing Man at Hartbeespoort Dam
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) has launched a search operation for a 40-year-old man who went missing at Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West province.
The incident took place near the Randburg Bridge when the man reportedly fell out of a boat and vanished underwater while out with a group of friends.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, stated that despite extensive search efforts by NSRI rescue swimmers, there have been no signs of the missing individual at the scene.
Family members of the man are present and receiving support from counselors as police divers, along with assistance from NSRI and the Strategic Rescue Unit (SRU), continue the search operation.
