Seattle Celebrates Lunar New Year 2025 with Festivities and Events

Seattle Lunar New Year 2025 Celebrations

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, will be celebrated across Seattle in 2025 with a variety of events and festivities to welcome the Year of the Snake. From traditional dance performances to family-friendly activities, the Emerald City offers numerous ways to join in the celebrations.

One of the highlights is the Lunar New Year Fair on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at King Street and Hing Hay Park. The event will feature over 40 food walk destinations, dance performances, and live music, drawing crowds from across the region.

For families, the Wing Luke Museum will host a Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Located at 719 S King St, the museum will offer an afternoon of hands-on activities and cultural experiences.

From January 25-26, 2025, the Seattle Center will host a Vietnamese Lunar New Year celebration at the Armory Food & Event Hall and Fisher Pavilion. The event will showcase Vietnamese arts, music, and performances, providing a unique cultural experience.

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, the Seattle Chinese Garden will celebrate the Year of the Snake and the Lantern Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include traditional lantern displays and cultural activities.

Bellevue Square Mall will also join the celebrations on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with live performances, crafts, and displays honoring Chinese New Year, Seollal (Korean New Year), and Tết (Vietnamese New Year).

Additionally, Fuller Garden Court will host a family-friendly event on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can enjoy live lion dances, drop-in art activities with local artists, and a storytime inspired by the holiday.

These events highlight Seattle’s vibrant multicultural community and provide opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the rich traditions of the Lunar New Year.
