Selena Gomez Drops New Music Video ‘In the Dark’ Ahead of Television Return

LOS ANGELES, California – Selena Gomez has released a new music video for her song “In the Dark,” featured on the Season Two soundtrack of the Netflix series “Nobody Wants This.” The music video debuted on October 23, 2025.

The visual starts with Gomez dressed in a black leotard, lounging on a white chaise. It transitions to darker scenes showing her in a two-piece outfit and a glossy leather jacket surrounded by smoke. “I’ll be there when you lose yourself. To remind you of who you are,” sings Gomez in the track, which channels an Eighties vibe. “And I’ll be there like nobody else. You’re so beautiful in the dark.”

Gomez teased the video earlier on Wednesday by sharing snippets on her Instagram stories. She revealed that the video took less than eight hours to film, writing, “Thought it be fun to add a little Revival to it” in one post.

Last month, Gomez married music producer in a private ceremony in California, surrounded by friends and family. The couple has previously collaborated on songs like “Same Old Love” in 2015 and “I Can’t Get Enough” in 2019, before confirming their relationship in December 2023. In March 2025, they released their collaborative album, titled “Revival.”

Recently, Gomez was featured on Cardi B‘s second album, “Pick It Up,” which dropped in September 2025. The two last worked together in 2018 on DJ Snake’s hit song “Taki Taki,” which also included Ozuna.

Meanwhile, “Nobody Wants This” returns for its second season on October 23. The romantic comedy series stars and , and includes actors Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, and Emily Arlook among others. Season Two’s soundtrack features 19 songs from prominent artists including Gomez, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Finneas, Role Model, and Teddy Swims.
