SEMA 2024: A Showcase of Innovation and Excellence in the Automotive World
The 2024 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show, held from November 5 to November 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, has once again proven to be a pivotal event in the automotive industry. Spanning over 2 million square feet of exhibitor space, the show attracts approximately 40,000 attendees from more than 140 countries, making it a global hub for automotive enthusiasts and industry professionals.
This year’s event features over 3,000 brands showcasing their latest products and more than 1,500 vehicles on display. The show is a testament to the diverse and evolving nature of car culture, with everything from domestic trucks and Japanese imports to electric vehicle conversions and widebody cars. One of the standout trends at SEMA 2024 is the growing interest in electric powertrains, exemplified by Rywire’s twin EV-motor EK Honda Civic, which has generated significant buzz.
Trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles continue to be a dominant force at the show, with a wide array of accessories such as lift kits, tires, bead-lock wheels, and camping gear. The rise in adventure-based overlanding is also evident, with conversions of non-domestic models like the Porsche Cayenne gaining popularity.
The Toyo Treadpass, a highlight of the show, features a diverse selection of builds, including the quirky Autozam AZ-1, which has garnered attention for its micro-supercar design and gullwing doors. This year’s SEMA also sees a broader range of widebody car styles beyond the traditional Rocket Bunny and Liberty Walk kits.
The NHRA Stage at SEMA 2024 is another key attraction, hosted by NHRA on FOX personalities Brian Lohnes, Tony Pedregon, and Jordan Vandergriff. The stage features a full day of interviews with top racers, industry innovators, and exclusive announcements. Highlights include autograph sessions with racing legends and key figures, as well as appearances by the Women of Power at 11:45 a.m..
Overall, SEMA 2024 is a celebration of innovation, creativity, and the passion that drives the automotive community. Whether you are interested in performance tuning, off-road adventures, or the latest in electric vehicle technology, this year’s show has something for everyone.
