Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for areas surrounding Greater Sudbury, North Bay, and Timmins, emphasizing the threat of severe weather conditions that may bring strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall.

The warning highlights wind gusts possibly reaching up to 90 km/h, accompanied by hail ranging from nickel to toonie size, with the onset expected in the early afternoon and evening hours on Thursday.

These severe thunderstorms are projected to develop and traverse the region throughout the day, posing threats of strong wind gusts and large hail as primary concerns.

Environment Canada cautions residents against water travel due to the potential for sudden and violent wind gusts, mentioning that large hail poses a danger to property and individuals.

To report severe weather events, individuals can send an email to the appropriate authorities for necessary actions.
