A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Flagler County as of Wednesday. The alert comes amidst reports of wind gusts reaching up to 60 miles per hour, expected to affect the area until 6 p.m. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions due to the severe weather conditions.

The areas impacted by the severe thunderstorm warning include Saint Johns, Palm Coast, Marineland, Flagler Beach, and other nearby communities. These regions together encompass approximately 80,000 residents who may experience high wind speeds, potentially leading to property damage or other hazards.

Doppler radar observations have indicated wind speeds of about 60 miles per hour within the warning zone. The severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 5:30, with the possibility of storm development around areas such as Bunnell, eventually moving toward Flagler Beach.
