Severe Weather Alerts for Greater Cincinnati This Week

CINCINNATI, OHIO — Residents of Greater Cincinnati should prepare for showers and potential thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon. Reports indicate that the region is experiencing light rain, with some areas possibly facing heavier downpours.
The rain is moving slowly, particularly around Oxford, where light rain and thunderstorms are expected to drift northeast towards West College Corner and Millville. Other parts of Boone, Kenton, and Campbell Counties are also experiencing scattered showers.
The National Weather Service forecasts that temperatures will rise into the low 80s during the day. As the afternoon progresses, there is a chance for thunderstorms, but significant lightning delays are not anticipated. The region’s weather is influenced by a low-pressure system that has brought rain from the south over the past few days.
As evening approaches, temperatures are expected to drop into the 70s. By 6 p.m., the area may start to dry out, though spotty showers could persist overnight.
Looking ahead, the forecast calls for similar weather patterns throughout the week with late morning showers and afternoon storms expected on Wednesday. A more significant weather impact is anticipated on Thursday night, when strong to severe thunderstorms may move through the area.
Residents are advised to stay informed about possible severe weather, particularly as Friday night rolls in with additional chances of storms.
