Shillong Teer Lottery Game In Meghalaya

The Shillong Teer lottery, a unique and legal game based on archery, continues to captivate participants across Meghalaya. On October 11, 2024, Shillong witnessed the announcement of the first and second round results of this distinct game. Participants eagerly awaited the results, which are determined by the number of arrows shot during the competition.

The Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association, an organization comprising 12 archery clubs, oversees the conduct of the Shillong Teer lottery game. Held from Monday to Saturday, the results for each day are announced between 4 PM and 5 PM. Sundays are reserved for religious observance, as people often visit churches for prayer.

Governed by the Meghalaya Amusement and Betting Tax Act, Shillong Teer stands out as one of the few legal lotteries in India. The competition takes place at the Shillong Polo Stadium, offering substantial cash prizes to winners while promoting interest in archery among the local youth.

Participants can purchase tickets for prices ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 100. The winnings vary based on the amount wagered and the accuracy of predictions. A correct prediction with a Rs 1 bet in the first round can yield Rs 80, while the same bet in the second round can earn Rs 60. A perfect prediction for both rounds could result in earnings up to Rs 4,000.

Apart from Shillong Teer, similar competitions such as Khanapara Teer, Jowai Teer, and Ladrymbai Teer are held in other parts of Meghalaya. To stay updated on the latest results, participants are encouraged to visit the official website, meghalayateer.com, or the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association’s site.
