Shooting at Inglewood College Injures Three, Suspect Barricaded

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) — Three people were injured Friday afternoon at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Inglewood. Police responded to the scene after reports of a shooting near the college located on Aviation Boulevard, although it remains unclear if shots were actually fired.
The incident prompted a significant police presence as authorities surrounded the campus after receiving the call just before 4 p.m. The Los Angeles Fire Department transported at least one person to a nearby hospital, but the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts stated that the suspected shooter might be dressed in a security guard outfit. He noted that police were conducting a thorough search of the campus, going room to room to ensure the safety of students and staff.
As police searched for the suspect, Newschopper4 captured footage of multiple officers patrolling the area. There is currently no active shooter on the premises, but police continue to investigate the situation.
