Scottsdale Woman Found Safe Silver Alert

PHOENIX — Authorities have canceled a Silver Alert for a 37-year-old woman from Scottsdale after she was found safe Monday night. The alert was issued following her disappearance on Sunday evening.

The woman, identified as Tami Haught, was last seen leaving her residence near 70th Street and McDowell Road around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday. Haught, who is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 91 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes. She requires a walker for mobility and has a cognitive condition that can lead to confusion or disorientation, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

When she was last seen, Haught was wearing a pink and yellow patterned dress, black and white leggings, and sparkly cowboy boots. The authorities urged the public to stay vigilant in their search and did not provide any details about where she was found.

This incident highlights the potential risks faced by individuals with cognitive impairments, particularly when they become lost or disoriented. The Silver Alert system, designed to quickly disseminate information about missing vulnerable adults, was activated to assist in locating Haught swiftly.

Following the successful recovery, police expressed gratitude to the community for their assistance during the search. The cancellation of the alert was confirmed shortly after she was located.

The story was originally published on March 3 and has since been updated following these developments.
