O.J. Simpson’s Children: Where Are They Now?
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — O.J. Simpson, the former NFL star acquitted in the 1995 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, died on April 10, 2024, at age 76 after a private battle with cancer. His death has reignited public interest in his five children, particularly Sydney and Justin, whom he shared with Nicole. The siblings, now adults, have largely stayed out of the spotlight since their father’s infamous trial.
Simpson was a father to five children: Arnelle, Jason, and Aaren with his first wife, Marguerite Whitley, and Sydney and Justin with Nicole Brown Simpson. Aaren tragically died in 1979 at age 2 due to accidental drowning. Arnelle, his eldest daughter, publicly supported Simpson during his 1995 murder trial, testifying that he was “very upset, emotional, confused” upon learning of Nicole’s death. She later spoke at his 2017 parole hearing, stating, “As a family, we recognize he’s not the perfect man, but as a man and a father, he has done his best.”
Jason, Simpson’s second child with Marguerite, has worked as a chef and culinary director in Atlanta. In a rare 2021 interview, he reflected on his father’s legacy, saying, “There was a time when my dad was famous, and there was a time when he was infamous.” Jason also recounted the 1994 Bronco chase, during which police briefly handcuffed him, unaware he was Simpson’s son.
Sydney, now 38, was 8 years old when her mother was murdered. She earned a degree in sociology from Boston University and has pursued a career in real estate, reportedly owning properties in Florida. Justin, 35, also lives in Florida and works in real estate. In 2022, he announced he was expecting a child with his partner. Both siblings have remained in contact with certain members of Nicole’s family, including her sister Dominique Brown.
Simpson’s children stood by him through his legal troubles, including his 2007 conviction for kidnapping and armed robbery, for which he served nine years in prison. Despite the controversies surrounding their father, Sydney and Justin have built lives away from the public eye, focusing on their families and careers.
