Small Plane Crashes in Brooklyn Park; Fire Reported Nearby

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A small plane crashed in Brooklyn Park Saturday afternoon, prompting emergency response teams to converge on the scene. Officials have not yet released statements regarding the incident, but no injuries have been reported at this time.
The crash occurred near the intersection of 109th Avenue North and Noble Parkway. Eyewitness accounts on social media indicate that a house nearby caught fire following the crash.
A local resident, who identified themselves as @MN_CRIME on X, formerly known as Twitter, reported, “A single-family home just to the east on Kyle Avenue is now fully engulfed in flames. All occupants of the home have escaped, though the number of possible injuries is not yet confirmed. Police and firefighters are evacuating the immediate area to ensure public safety.”
First responders quickly arrived at the scene to address both the crash and the house fire. Video footage purportedly captured at the scene shows thick smoke billowing into the sky from the crash site.
Earlier in the day, emergency crews responded to a separate house fire at 7608 84th Avenue in Brooklyn Park. Fire crews extinguished the blaze in a timely manner after smoke was reported from the upper-level bathroom and surrounding areas. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in that incident as well.
Brooklyn Park, located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, is approximately 10 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis. The city is situated along the west bank of the Mississippi River and is part of the greater Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. According to the 2020 census, Brooklyn Park has a population of about 86,500 residents.
