South Florida Bulls Face North Texas Mean Green in Key College Football Matchup

South Florida rejoined the rankings at No. 24 this week following two dominant victories. They first defeated South Carolina State 63-14, followed by a 54-26 win over Charlotte. Despite turning the ball over four times in the game against Charlotte, South Florida’s offense is in formidable shape, totaling 631 yards, with 407 yards on the ground and 224 through the air. They had seven different players find the end zone, with Byrum Brown leading the charge, rushing 17 times for 162 yards.
On the other hand, North Texas has been impressive this season with one of the highest-scoring offenses in the nation, averaging 44.8 points per game, currently sitting 8th in the NCAA. However, the Mean Green have yet to face a ranked opponent this season. In their last game, they secured a 36-22 victory against South Alabama, powered by running back Caleb Hawkins. He rushed 16 times for 140 yards and two touchdowns, also catching a 68-yard touchdown pass from Drew Mestemaker.
