Environment Canada has issued rainfall warnings for several communities in southern Alberta, including Lethbridge, Milk River, Taber, Medicine Hat, and Brooks. The forecast indicates that heavy rain is expected to hit the region over the next couple of days, with precipitation levels ranging from 50 to 70 mm. Localized areas may even experience over 80 mm of rainfall.

The rain is set to begin Monday afternoon and continue through Tuesday night, leading to potential flash floods and water pooling on roads. With the possibility of localized flooding in low-lying areas, residents are advised to exercise caution and stay updated on weather alerts.

These heavy downpours have the propensity to cause disruptions and challenges, so residents are urged to take necessary precautions. Environment Canada anticipates that the wet weather will gradually subside by Wednesday, providing some relief to the parched region.
