CHARLESTON, S.C. — Reality TV star Madison LeCroy, known for her role on Bravo‘s “Southern Charm,” is expecting her second child, her first with husband Brett Randle, a representative confirmed to PEOPLE on Thursday.
The 34-year-old announced her pregnancy on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself holding a positive Clearblue pregnancy test. “And just like that… our world is changing in the most magical way! ✨” she captioned the post. LeCroy, who is already a mother to 12-year-old son Hudson from her previous marriage to Josh Hughes, expressed her excitement about expanding her family.
“I was shocked,” LeCroy told PEOPLE. “I thought I had all summer long, but it happened, and I felt actually pretty great other than some minor headaches.” She credited the Clearblue ovulation test for helping her and Randle plan their pregnancy. “Once we got the smiley face, we were like, ‘Okay, it’s go time,’ and it instantly happened,” she said.
LeCroy’s pregnancy comes after a challenging period in her life, including the loss of her father in late 2023 and her husband’s recent health struggles. “I honestly was pinching myself because I hadn’t heard good news in what felt like the last two years,” she shared. “To hear something that was so positive and something that we’ve been wanting and looking forward to was just super exciting.”
Her son Hudson was among the first to know about the pregnancy. “He was my first one that I told,” LeCroy said. “And yeah, he was excited. Obviously, at first, he’s like, ‘Eh.’ And then we recently got a puppy, so he goes, ‘Actually, I really love caring, so might as well.'”
LeCroy, who last gave birth 12 years ago, noted that this pregnancy has been different. “It’s the total opposite than what I experienced at 22 years old,” she explained. “I had the glowing skin and all that, and this is the opposite. I’m exhausted, full-blown adult acne, and didn’t lose any weight at the beginning.”
Despite the challenges, LeCroy is embracing the journey. “I’m just going to listen to my body and do whatever I feel like is best for us,” she said. “So if that’s subs and maybe occasional fried sushi, I’m going to do it.” She also revealed that she plans to honor her late father and grandmother in naming the baby.
LeCroy’s Bravo co-stars, including Ashley Darby and Ciara Miller, congratulated her on the announcement. “Congratulations beauty!!! 😍😍😍” Darby wrote, while Miller added, “Congrats Madison!”
LeCroy and Randle married in November 2022 after getting engaged the previous year. The couple has been open about their desire to grow their family, with LeCroy joking in an October 2024 interview that conceiving would make her life “different.” She concluded her Instagram announcement with a heartfelt message: “We can’t wait to meet you, little one! 💖”
