A female employee of SpiceJet has come forward with allegations of sexual harassment by CISF Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Giriraj Prasad at Jaipur Airport, leading to a slapping incident that went viral.

The SpiceJet staff member claimed that on July 11, ASI Prasad made inappropriate comments towards her, prompting her to demand a female constable for frisking.

According to the employee, ASI Prasad’s remarks included suggestive language and threats when she refused his advances.

A video depicting the female staff member slapping ASI Prasad during a security screening argument surfaced online, resulting in her arrest and subsequent legal action.

The employee, who has been with SpiceJet for five years, refuted claims of improper conduct and stated that she possessed valid credentials and followed regular airport protocols.

SpiceJet has issued a statement in solidarity with its employee, denouncing the alleged sexual harassment and advocating legal action against the CISF personnel involved.

Following the incident, the airline has pursued assistance from local authorities to address the employee’s complaints and ensure due process.

Advocate Deepak Chouhan, representing the SpiceJet staff member, emphasized that the slapping incident was an isolated response to purported sexual harassment and not reflective of the employee’s typical behavior.

The case is under investigation to ascertain the details surrounding the alleged harassment and the subsequent altercation at Jaipur Airport.
