Spring Weather Forecast Cold Temperatures

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The arrival of spring has brought unseasonably cold temperatures to the Cincinnati area, following a cold front and overnight rainfall.

As dawn breaks, temperatures are expected to drop into the mid- to low 40s, creating a brisk atmosphere for morning commuters. The latest forecast from WCPO‘s 9 First Warning Weather team indicates that as the day progresses, temperatures will hold steady between 41 and 45 degrees.

Drivers could encounter isolated showers during the peak hours of the morning drive. According to meteorologists, the day will be mostly cloudy to overcast, with winds blowing from the southwest at speeds of 10 to 20 mph.

“We’re keeping an eye on the potential for isolated showers, especially in the early afternoon,” said meteorologist John Smith. “With colder air moving in, don’t be surprised if you see a snowflake mixed in with the rain.”

As the evening approaches, clouds are predicted to clear, leading to a significant drop in temperatures overnight. A low of 28 degrees is anticipated.

The weather will take a turn for the better on Friday, with temperatures rising back to more typical mid-March levels. Forecasts suggest sunny skies and highs reaching the mid-50s.

According to the latest updates:

  • Thursday Morning: Overcast skies with falling temperatures; isolated showers; low of 43 degrees.
  • Thursday Day: Steady temperatures in the mid to low 40s with isolated showers; high of 45 degrees.
  • Thursday Night: Clearing clouds and much colder; low of 28 degrees.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny and seasonal; high of 54 degrees.
  • Friday Night: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain; low of 42 degrees.
